Larissa Franco is an printmaker, with a painting degree from the Paran� College of Fine Arts, where she also got her master�s degree in the history of art. During the years of 1994 and 2000, Franco was responsible for the lithography course at the Curitiba Print Museum. In 2003, Franco started teaching metal and lithograph at the Curitiba Creativity Center. The artist�s work, mainly in metal and stone, is strongly influenced by Islamic symbolism, this evidenced by the arabesque patterns and their ancestral forms. Larissa Franco has held individual exhibits at the Curitiba Print Museum (1997 and 2000), at the State Culture Secretariat (2000) and at the Curitiba Religious Art Museum (2000). Among the artist�s main collective exhibits, special highlights goes to: the 12th Curitiba Print Exhibit (2000) and the Parana State Exhibit (in five different recent seasons). Also: Tomie Ohtake in the Spiritual Plot of Brazilian Art ( S�o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba, 2003 and 2004).
