Entropic Manipulations: Landscape and Flora

This body of work investigates processes of digital printer manipulations as a metaphor for the experiments that are harmful to the environment. Through the prints made from these manipulations; I express results envisioned in our world.

When we interfere with the normal processes of my printer, the tool to produce this body of work, I handle the process without knowing the real consequences of my actions. I corrupt and I change the original combination of CMYK colors, sabotaging the way the printing system usually occurs.

In the final prints, most of the representational content removed from the natural landscape, become abstractions. And the resulting colors of my pictures are created by the accumulation of ink. Thus introduce the use of "random operations" for causing deterioration and ultimately reveal the entropy process slowly unfolding the environment, which is the second law of thermodynamics, which measures the gradual and steady disintegration in a system like our world.

Continuing the development of my Entropic Manipulations series, now I'm focusing on my perception of genetic changes in flora, food that lose their original identity, expressed as a fragmentation of these elements, making it its constitution and appearance unknown to us.

Humans have used plants in medicine over millennia. We found not only its medicinal properties, but also extreme dose results in toxic effects. However, even small doses are accumulated in our systems throughout multiple exposures, creating undesirable effects such as poisoning or deformity. By using this poisonous flora as subject, I want to expose my vision of the danger of quick solutions made to solve problems of our existence.
